Online Webinar on May 15, 2012, Helps Businesses Set Up and Manage Cyber Risk Strategy
Every business must clearly understand its data risks and how cyber risks impact strategy for an organization's entire enterprise risk management (ERM). A recent executive report jointly released by RIMS (the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.), Identity Theft 911 (IDT911) and USLAW NETWORK explored data risk management best practices, concepts and challenges. On May 15, 2012, these same three organizations have joined forces to sponsor an all-new online webinar that further probes risk assessment, data privacy issues and their strategic implications.
In response to the joint 'ERM Best Practices' report, RIMS is offering a webinar led by a panel of experts titled 'Strategic Implications of Data Risks: Exploring the intersection of privilege, protection and preparedness. The hour-long webinar is available free to RIMS members and is $30 for nonmembers. To register, visit bit.ly/ERMwebinar.
“During this informative webinar, we'll be providing real-world examples and practical solutions to help jump start data risk strategy," said Brian McGinley, Identity Theft 911's Senior Vice President of Data Risk Management and one of the webinar instructors. "Our presentation supports the report findings and helps organizations understand their needs and develop a matching strategy to better manage cyber risks.”
RIMS will also host a “Cyber Risk: Privacy and Data Security Risk Management” workshop – developed by Identity Theft 911 – three times this year. Dates and locations for the upcoming 2012 workshops include a Canadian location in addition to two in the United States:
